The Lord’s Supper
Greetings Church, This Lord’s Day, you are welcome to join with all the people of God in worship, prayer, receiving of our Lord’s table and being touched by His word.
Of the Lord’s supper and the partaking of the bread and cup, we find in 1 Corinthians 11, “v23. …that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, v24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, ‘This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.’ v25. In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.’ V26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.”
Just as the people of God of Corinth were exhorted to come together to follow in the command of our Lord Jesus, so let us come before Him. All believing upon our Lord Jesus, as Savior and Lord, are called of God to join in, in proclaiming the Lord’s death until he comes. v 26. Come, declare in your receiving that you are a child of the Most High, forgiven, walking in His grace and righteousness. Let us give all our praise unto Christ Jesus!
We look forward to having you and yours in worship!
Sincerely,
Pastor Simeon Strauser
