If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.Galatians 5:25
Christ’s Chapel Friends and Family, We greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus.
In this season of 40 days between the celebration of our Lord’s resurrection and His ascension and the coming day of Pentecost, it is here, that I believe the Church ought to emphasis the power and the manifestation of the Holy Spirit upon the lives of the believers.
It is important that we be reminded that as you make Christ Jesus the Lord of your life, that it is by the power of the Holy Spirit that you are set free from the power of sin and death. In Christ, there is freedom – no more bondage to the things of this world (Ro. 8:1-2). And as you walk as the child of God, living ‘in step’ with the Spirit (Ga. 5:25, Ep.6:17), you are empowered to be a mighty witness of the transforming and life changing saving grace of our Lord Jesus! Jesus taught, ‘he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he shall do also, and greater works than these shall he do, because I go unto my Father (Jo. 14:12). To God be all the glory!
My friend, you are given the Holy Spirit, as you walk faithfully with the Lord (Acts 5:32)! The Holy Spirit is your conviction, your teacher, your advocate. He is the giver of the gifts of God. It is through Him that you are empowered to walk a life filled with love, joy, kindness and faithfulness. He nurtures the patience, kindness, and self control, only found in the Lord. He imparts the divine power of God for every care and situation that this life presents.
Come, join with us this Sunday, believing that you will be inspired and strengthened by the Word of God, changed and empowered for a life led by the Holy Spirit. Looking forward to seeing you.
